I was born in Rockford, Illinois and moved to Arizona when I was six years old. It was then that I started my education in the Diocese of Phoenix. However, now, my role in the Diocese is that of an educator. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher when I was a student at St. Theresa’s School for nine years. From there I became a gator at Xavier College Preparatory, followed by 4 years at The University of Arizona. I graduated from the College of Education with a BAE in Elementary Education. After graduating, I had the pleasure of being a first grade teacher for the 6 years at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, in Glendale, AZ. While teaching at OLPH, I studied for my Masters in Education from Arizona State University. My degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy. In addition to that accomplishment, I am a Certified Catechist, and have endorsements in Early Education, a Reading Specialist and Structured English Immersion. I have also completed Autism Certification classes.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my wonderful family. We find a reason to celebrate everything. Among my favorite things, I love to go boating to water ski, watch football with Mario (while I grade papers), travel to new places, and play with our sweet dog Ruka! More than anything, we love our moments at home with our babies. Colvin is 6 and Adelyn is 4. We love having backyard parties in the pool while listening to country music, riding our bike and playing UNO. Life with children is joyful and more fun than I ever imagined. I love to read and I am exploring the journey of writing children’s books. I love when NASCAR comes to town as well as the season of March Madness! Go Wildcats!

My loving grandparents who have been married for over 60 years!
Grandpa graduated from high school in 2009,
because he went away to war before he finished school.
His high school invited him to graduate with the class of 2009.
He was their oldest graduate, ever. A young 82 years old!
This was one of the happiest days of my life!
I could show millions of picture of my beautiful family, but I would never be able to pick. So, here are a few of my favorites from this summer.
